My client is the UK`s leading Foodservice Provider with an annual turnouver of £1.7 billion. Having been established for over 60 years and with 8000 staff they are now looking to expand their sales force.

My client sells over 22,000 different products. These range from frozen, chilled, ambient and non-food goods.
Role:
This is field based sales role working Looking after 170 to 200 trading accounts, with a turnover of £1.8 million. Calling on 8 companies per day using a 1 to 12 week call cycle. There are lots of potential to up sell within the existing client base and grow new accounts. Brakes split there customers into 4 categories this is done purely on spend and the % of the products that they need within there kitchen CAT 1 buy (75 %+), CAT 2 (60 to 75 %), CAT 3 (40 to 60 %), CAT 4 are small spend accounts.
Each external sales person will be working alongside an internal telesales person who will do the day to day order taking. You`ll be dealing with the decision maker of the business this can be anybody from the head chef, manager, buyer, and owner. You will have complete autonomy over your area as to the markets to target. You will also have the power to negotiate within the margins that you have.
Market: Selling to a diverse range of end users including restaurants, hotels, pubs, clubs, leisure centers, nursing homes, contract caterers, golf clubs - anywhere with a professional kitchen
Split between New & Established: 70% account management and 30% new business
Background: ideally wants sales person who is foody
