Sourcing the finest food from across the globe, our client delivers the highest quality produce to meet the demands of today’s consumer. Working with a range of carefully selected suppliers, they are able to provide a tailored service and a diverse product range for customers within the retail and foodservice sectors. They are now looking to appoint an experienced account handler to manage their relationship with ASDA.
Reporting to the Sales Controller, your prime remit will be to drive profitable growth through innovative category strategies and a strong emphasis on NPD. You will also be responsible for the management and development of a supplier base of foreign manufacturers. The formulation of annual plans to include promotional strategies, own label and branded launch plans, product development and distribution objectives, as well as ongoing pricing strategy negotiations will be key.
To succeed in this role you must have a genuine passion for food and a natural flair for developing client relationships. Currently working in a chilled food environment, you will currently hold account responsibility for a top 4 multiple, exposure to the ASDA account would be advantageous. The emphasis in this position will be on patience, diplomacy and effective communication to achieve your objectives.
